Best Monopoly Go Events
Ranked by dice efficiency and reward value. Know which events to save for and which to skip.
How Event Rankings Work
Monopoly Go runs multiple overlapping events at all times. Not all events offer the same return on dice spent. Must-Play events deliver the highest rewards relative to dice input - they are worth saving a reserve specifically for. Skip-tier events have poor dice efficiency and are better ignored in favor of passive accumulation.
The rankings below are based on observable patterns: how many dice top-tier milestones require, what rewards those milestones pay, whether the event is competitive or community-based, and how predictably the dice-to-reward conversion holds across different player skill levels. Events rotate constantly, so treat this as a framework for evaluating any new event rather than a fixed list.
Must-Play
Save dice specifically for these. The return on dice spent is the best in the game.
Cash Grab
Must-PlayCommunity EventDice Efficiency
Excellent
Primary Reward
Large dice packs + cash
How it works
All players on your network contribute to a shared cash goal. Landing on certain board tiles generates cash towards the community target. As thresholds are met, all participants receive milestone rewards including large dice packs.
Why it ranked here
Cash Grab is a community event rather than a competitive one - you do not need to outspend other players to reach top rewards. The milestone rewards include some of the largest dice packs in the game, and reaching mid-tier milestones requires less individual dice spending than in competitive events.
Tip
Spend dice at 2x multiplier during Cash Grab to cover board tiles efficiently without burning reserves too fast. Target the milestone where dice rewards start appearing prominently - usually around the 40-50% mark of the track.
Sticker Boom
Must-PlaySpecial EventDice Efficiency
Excellent (for album progress)
Primary Reward
High-tier sticker packs
How it works
During Sticker Boom events, sticker pack drops are increased across all sources. Standard sticker pack awards from gameplay are upgraded to higher tiers (purple or orange), and sticker trading windows are often expanded.
Why it ranked here
Sticker album completion pays large dice lump sums. Sticker Boom events dramatically accelerate album progress - the dice you spend during Sticker Boom trigger sticker drops worth far more dice in album completion rewards than you spent to get them.
Tip
This is the best event to complete sticker albums. Trade aggressively with friends during Sticker Boom windows. Every completed album during or shortly after this event pays a dice bonus.
Board Rush
Must-PlayMilestone EventDice Efficiency
Very Good
Primary Reward
Dice + sticker packs
How it works
Board Rush rewards you for completing board milestones within the event window. Each board you complete (or each section of a board) contributes progress toward a reward track with dice and sticker milestones.
Why it ranked here
Board Rush rewards you for progression that is aligned with your natural game play anyway - moving through boards is what you are doing regardless. The event makes that existing activity pay bonus rewards without requiring you to deviate from your normal strategy.
Tip
If you are close to completing a board section, try to time the completion for during a Board Rush event window rather than right before it starts. The dice reward for that completion is higher inside the event.
Worth It
Strong events worth spending dice on if you have reserves available.
High Roller
Worth ItSolo EventDice Efficiency
Good (for large dice holders)
Primary Reward
Dice + exclusive stickers
How it works
High Roller is a solo event where your personal dice spending generates event points. The more dice you spend, the faster you advance the milestone track. Unlike community events, your progress depends entirely on your own dice output - other players' activity does not help you.
Why it ranked here
High Roller is the event where having a large pre-saved dice reserve pays off most directly. Players who bank 500+ dice before the event starts can reach mid-to-high milestones. Those who enter with fewer dice will stall at early milestones.
Tip
Only spend significant dice here if you have a meaningful reserve saved. Entering High Roller with less than 200 dice means you'll hit a wall early and either spend real money or accept low rewards. Bank dice specifically for this event.
Tycoon Race
Worth ItCompetitive LeaderboardDice Efficiency
Good (top third of leaderboard)
Primary Reward
Dice + exclusive items
How it works
Tycoon Race pits you against other players in a spending leaderboard. Points are earned by spending dice and completing board milestones. The top finishers receive the best rewards, with smaller rewards for lower placements.
Why it ranked here
The top-third rewards are very strong. The bottom-third rewards are weak. Tycoon Race is worth it if you have enough dice to realistically hit the top third - check your approximate position before committing your reserve.
Tip
Play the event for the first hour to gauge competition level before spending your main dice budget. If the leaderboard is unusually competitive for your placement group, conserve dice for the next event instead.
Situational
Good events depending on your current progression needs.
Color Blitz
SituationalTile-Color EventDice Efficiency
Medium
Primary Reward
Coins + sticker packs
How it works
Color Blitz rewards landing on tiles of a specific color across any board. The color rotates every few minutes, creating urgency to roll quickly when your target color is active.
Why it ranked here
Good if you need cash more than dice right now. The sticker pack rewards are useful for active album trackers. The urgency mechanic around color rotation is stress-inducing and can push players to roll faster than their strategy allows.
Tip
If you're playing Color Blitz, decide before you start how many dice you'll spend per color rotation. Do not let the countdown timer pressure you into rolling faster than planned.
Peg-E Prize Drop
SituationalMini-game EventDice Efficiency
Low-Medium
Primary Reward
Random reward mix
How it works
Peg-E Prize Drop is a Plinko-style mini-game that awards prizes based on which slot the ball lands in. Tokens for the mini-game are earned during normal board play and event-specific activities.
Why it ranked here
The prizes are highly variable and depend heavily on RNG rather than dice input. The event can pay well when luck is on your side but offers no reliable return on dice spent. It's entertainment more than strategy.
Tip
Participate with tokens you earn passively during the event. Do not spend extra dice trying to farm additional Peg-E tokens - the expected return is too variable to justify deliberate dice investment.
Skip It
Low dice efficiency. Spend minimum dice on these or skip entirely.
Flash Events (Generic)
Skip ItShort-Duration EventDice Efficiency
Poor
Primary Reward
Small dice + cash
How it works
Short-burst events that last one to two hours with a simplified milestone track. They require rapid dice spending to reach meaningful rewards before the timer expires.
Why it ranked here
The time pressure leads to high-multiplier spending at the worst possible cadence - rushed and reactive rather than planned. The rewards at the top milestones rarely justify the dice cost during a compressed window. Most players who chase flash event milestones end up overspending relative to the reward.
Tip
Unless a flash event explicitly offers a reward you specifically need (a specific sticker or a large dice pack), skip it. Use the dice for the next scheduled full event instead.
How to Evaluate Any New Event
Scopely regularly introduces new event types. When a new event appears, ask four questions before committing dice:
First, is it competitive or community-based? Community events pay rewards to everyone who participates at any level - they are more dice-efficient for average players. Competitive events pay best rewards only to top spenders.
Second, what is the dice cost to reach the mid-point milestone? If reaching halfway requires more dice than you have, you will stall and waste what you spent. Only commit to events where you can comfortably reach at least the mid-tier reward.
Third, what does the event pay at that mid-point? Dice packs are the most valuable reward. Sticker packs are useful for active album trackers. Cash rewards are situationally useful. Cosmetics with no gameplay value are not worth dice.
Fourth, how long does the event run? Events under 4 hours rarely justify large dice investments. Events that run 24-48 hours allow a sustainable spending pace.
