Wizard of Oz Slots Links Not Working

Link failed? It's usually expired, already claimed, or went to the wrong device. Here's how to fix it.

Quick Answer

Most links expire within 24-48 hours and can only be claimed once per account. Important WoZ quirk: credits don't sync across devices, so always claim on your primary device. Try a fresher link first.

Get Fresh Links

Common Issues

Link Expired

Most common cause.

Wizard of Oz Slots reward links typically expire within 24-48 hours. If you're clicking a link from yesterday or earlier, it may already be dead. Zynga publishes new links frequently, so a fresh one is usually available. Our daily page always shows the newest links at the top.

Fix: Try a link posted within the last few hours.

Already Claimed

One claim per account.

Each reward link can only be claimed once per account. If you already tapped it, it's done. The game doesn't always show a clear error for this. It might just fail silently or redirect you to the app without depositing credits. If you're unsure whether you claimed a link, skip it and try the next one.

Fix: Skip it and try the next link on the list.

Credits Went to Wrong Device

WoZ quirk: credits don't sync across devices.

This is unique to Wizard of Oz Slots. Credit balances do not sync between devices. If you claimed a link on your phone but usually play on your tablet, the credits went to your phone's balance. They won't appear on the tablet. This is by design (it enables offline play), but it catches many players off guard. Always claim links on your primary play device.

Fix: Check the balance on the device where you clicked the link.

App Won't Open from Link

Browser or deep link issue.

Reward links use deep linking to launch Wizard of Oz Slots directly. Some browsers (especially in-app browsers from Facebook, email clients, or messaging apps) block deep links. If tapping a link does nothing or opens a blank page, the browser is the problem. Some WoZ links also route through Facebook, so the Facebook app may try to intercept them.

Fix: Copy the URL and open in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS).

Facebook Connection Issue

Many links route through Facebook.

Wizard of Oz Slots has deep ties to Facebook. Many reward links are distributed through Facebook and some require a connected Facebook account to claim. If your Facebook connection has lapsed (token expired, password changed, app permissions revoked), links may fail silently. Open the game, go to settings, and verify your Facebook connection is active.

Fix: Reconnect Facebook in the game settings, then retry the link.

Credits Not Appearing

Delay or display bug.

You claimed a link but your balance didn't change. Before assuming it failed: force-close the app and reopen it. Check your balance again. Also remember the device sync issue: credits only appear on the device where you clicked the link. If you claimed on your phone but are checking your tablet, the credits won't be there. They're on the phone.

Fix: Force-close, reopen, check balance on the correct device.

Full Troubleshooting: 10 Steps

Start at step 1. Most problems are solved by step 3.

1

Try a newer link

Go to our daily page. Pick a link posted within the last few hours. If it works, the old link was simply expired. (Daily links page)

2

Make sure you're on the right device

Wizard of Oz Slots credits don't sync across devices. If you claimed on your phone but usually play on your tablet, the credits are on the phone. Always claim links on your primary play device.

3

Check your Facebook connection

Many WoZ links route through Facebook. Open the game, go to Settings, and verify Facebook is connected. If the connection has lapsed, reconnect it and try the link again.

4

Open the link in your default browser

Don't tap links inside Facebook, email apps, or messaging apps. Copy the URL and open in Chrome (Android) or Safari (iOS). In-app browsers frequently block deep links.

5

Make sure the app is installed and updated

Check your app store for Wizard of Oz Slots. If it needs an update, install it. Zynga pushes frequent updates and older versions may not process new link formats.

6

Check your internet connection

Switch from mobile data to Wi-Fi (or vice versa). Reward links require a server round-trip to verify and deposit credits.

7

Force-close and reopen the app

Close Wizard of Oz Slots completely (swipe away from app switcher). Reopen it. Check your credit balance. Sometimes credits deposit but the display doesn't refresh until restart.

8

Clear app cache (Android)

Settings > Apps > Wizard of Oz Slots > Storage > Clear Cache. This doesn't delete your account or progress. On iOS, delete and reinstall (your account is safe if linked to Facebook).

9

Restart your phone

A full device restart clears background processes and network states that can interfere with deep linking.

10

Contact Zynga support

If nothing works, use the in-app help button (Settings > Help) or visit zyngasupport.helpshift.com. Include your Player ID and a description of the problem. Zynga's support is generally more responsive than smaller studios.

Platform-Specific Fixes

Android

Default browser: Make sure Chrome is your default browser. Some manufacturer browsers don't handle Zynga deep links properly.

Facebook app: If links open in the Facebook app instead of the game, go to Facebook Settings > Links open externally and enable it. Or copy the link and paste it directly into Chrome.

Clear cache: Settings > Apps > Wizard of Oz Slots > Storage > Clear Cache. Don't tap "Clear Data" as that could reset offline progress.

Battery optimization: Exclude Wizard of Oz Slots from battery optimization. Background killing can interrupt link processing.

iOS

Use Safari: Reward links work most reliably in Safari. Chrome for iOS sometimes fails to trigger Universal Links for Zynga games.

Long-press trick: If tapping a link opens the App Store instead of the game, long-press the link and select "Open in Wizard of Oz Slots" from the context menu.

Reinstall for cache clear: iOS doesn't have a cache-clear option. Delete and reinstall. Your account is safe if linked to Facebook. Your offline progress on this device may be lost.

Facebook SDK: If Facebook-connected links fail, log out of the Facebook app on your phone, log back in, then try the link. This refreshes the SDK token that Zynga games use.

Remember: Credits Don't Sync Across Devices

This is the #1 Wizard of Oz-specific issue that confuses players. If you claim a link on Device A, the credits go to Device A's balance. They will not appear on Device B. This is by design for offline play support. Pick one device as your primary and always claim links there. If you think a link "didn't work," check if you accidentally claimed it on a different device first.

Prevention: Never Miss Credits Again

Bookmark our daily free credits page and check it once in the morning and once in the evening. The freshest links are always at the top. Claim within a few hours of posting and expiry is rarely a problem.

Connect your account to Facebook. This serves two purposes: it enables friend gifting (a daily credit source), and it protects your account if you ever need to reinstall. Guest accounts with no Facebook connection are the #1 cause of "my credits disappeared" reports that have nothing to do with links.

Keep the app updated. Zynga pushes updates frequently. Running an old version with a new link format causes silent failures. Enable auto-updates in your app store to stay current.
