8 Ball Pool Links Not Working
Eight causes covered with specific fixes for each. Start with the quick diagnosis checklist below.
Back to Fresh Links
While you troubleshoot, fresh 8 Ball Pool reward links are waiting.
Quick Diagnosis - Try These First
Is the link from today? Most 8 Ball Pool links expire within 1-3 days, and some last only 24 hours. Grab a fresh one from our daily links page.
Did you already claim this exact link? Each link works once per Miniclip account. Check your coin balance if you are unsure.
Have you claimed more than five links today? Miniclip caps reward claims at roughly five per 24-hour window.
Is your app updated? Check the App Store or Google Play for pending 8 Ball Pool updates.
Are you logged in to the right Miniclip account? Open the app and verify your profile before tapping links.
If all five pass and links are still failing, work through the full cause list below.
All 8 Causes and Fixes
The Link Has Expired
Very CommonThis is the single most frequent reason an 8 Ball Pool reward link fails. Miniclip publishes reward links through their mcgam.es shortener, and most of those links carry a lifespan of one to three days. Some promotional drops expire in as little as 24 hours. Once the expiry window closes, the link is permanently dead. Tapping it again, reinstalling the app, or switching devices will not bring it back. The server simply stops honoring the redirect.
Fix
The only real solution is to claim links promptly, ideally the same day they appear. Bookmark this site and check back daily for the latest drops. Links near the top of our daily page are the freshest and most likely to still be active. If a link takes you to the app store or a generic Miniclip page instead of delivering coins, it has almost certainly expired.
You Already Claimed This Link
CommonEvery 8 Ball Pool reward link is strictly one-use per Miniclip account. This limit is tied to your account, not your device. If you tapped a link earlier on your phone and then try the same link on your tablet, it will not work the second time. The app does not always show a clear error when a link has already been redeemed. In many cases it simply opens 8 Ball Pool normally without crediting anything, which makes it look like the link is broken when it actually already did its job.
Fix
Compare your current coin balance to what it was before you tapped the link. If the balance increased at any point, the link was already claimed successfully. Going forward, try to claim links as soon as you see them and make a mental note of which ones you have used. There is no mechanism to redeem the same link twice on the same Miniclip account.
Daily Claim Cap Reached
CommonMiniclip enforces a server-side limit of roughly five reward claims per 24-hour rolling window. This cap exists to prevent abuse and applies to all reward link redemptions on your account. Once you hit this ceiling, subsequent links will either fail silently or show a generic error, even though the links themselves are perfectly valid. Many players do not realize this cap exists because it is not documented anywhere in the app.
Fix
If you have claimed several links already today and a new one is not working, you have likely hit the daily cap. Stop trying additional links and wait until the 24-hour window resets. Come back tomorrow and claim the links you missed. Prioritize higher-value links first each day so that if you do hit the cap, you have already secured the best rewards.
Your App Needs Updating
ModerateMiniclip pushes frequent updates to 8 Ball Pool that can change how reward links are processed on the backend. When you are running an older app version, the client may not understand the newer link format or may fail the server handshake required to credit rewards. The app does not always prompt you to update, especially if you have disabled automatic updates on your device.
Fix
Open the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android), search for 8 Ball Pool, and tap Update if one is available. Let the update finish completely, then relaunch the game and try the link again. This fix resolves a surprising number of link failures, particularly in the first week after Miniclip rolls out a major version update.
Wrong or Unlinked Account
Moderate8 Ball Pool reward links deliver coins to whichever Miniclip account is currently active on the device. If you are logged in as a guest, or if you have multiple Miniclip accounts and the wrong one is active, the coins will land in the wrong place. This is especially common for players who share a device with family members or who created a guest account before linking to Miniclip or Facebook. Unlike some games, 8 Ball Pool has no promo code system where you enter a code manually, so everything depends on the active account at the moment you tap.
Fix
Before tapping any reward link, open 8 Ball Pool and check which account is logged in. Look at your profile name and avatar to confirm it is your main account. If you are on a guest account, log in to your Miniclip account first. If you play across multiple devices, make sure you are signed in to the same Miniclip ID on each one so rewards always reach the right account.
VPN or Proxy Interference
Less CommonActive VPN connections and proxy servers can interfere with how the mcgam.es shortened URLs redirect to the 8 Ball Pool app. The redirect relies on your device recognizing the link and passing it to the correct app handler. A VPN that routes your traffic through a server in a different region can cause Miniclip servers to reject the request or redirect it incorrectly. Some corporate or school network proxies strip URL parameters that the reward system needs.
Fix
Temporarily disable your VPN or proxy before tapping reward links. On most devices this takes just a few seconds. Tap the link, wait for the reward confirmation in the app, and then re-enable your VPN. If you are on a restricted network (school, workplace), try switching to mobile data for the few seconds it takes to claim the link. This consistently resolves link failures for players who use VPN services.
Cache or Cookie Issues
Less CommonStale browser data or a corrupted app cache can prevent the mcgam.es redirect from completing properly. When you tap a reward link, your browser (or the in-app browser) needs to follow the redirect chain from the shortened URL to the 8 Ball Pool app. Cached versions of old redirects, expired cookies, or corrupted temporary files can break this chain. This is more common if you tap links from within social media apps that use their own built-in browsers.
Fix
If you are tapping links from a browser, clear your browser cache and cookies, then try again. On Android, you can also clear the 8 Ball Pool app cache: go to Settings, find 8 Ball Pool in your Apps list, tap Storage, then Clear Cache (not Clear Data, which would remove local progress). On iOS, force-close the app and restart your device. Another effective workaround is to copy the link URL and paste it directly into your default browser instead of tapping it inside a social media app.
Server-Side Issues
RareMiniclip occasionally experiences server maintenance or unexpected downtime that affects reward link processing. When this happens, even brand-new links from trusted sources will fail to deliver coins. Server-side outages are usually temporary and resolve within a few hours. You can sometimes spot these incidents when multiple players report the same problem simultaneously on social media or community forums.
Fix
If fresh links from today are failing and you have confirmed your app is updated, you are logged in to the correct account, and you have not hit the daily cap, the issue is likely on Miniclip servers. Check the official 8 Ball Pool social media pages or community forums for announcements about maintenance or outages. Wait a few hours and try the links again. Server issues almost always resolve on their own within the same day.
Still Not Working?
If you have worked through all eight causes above and links are still failing consistently, the issue is likely account-specific or server-side. Here are your last-resort steps:
Prevention Tips
Claim Links the Same Day
Never save links for later. With expiry windows as short as 24 hours, links claimed on the day they drop succeed far more often than links saved from the day before.
Prioritize High-Value Links
Since the daily cap is roughly five claims, always redeem the highest-value links first. If you hit the cap, at least you secured the best rewards available that day.
Keep the App Updated
Enable automatic updates or check the store weekly. Running an outdated version of 8 Ball Pool is a common and easily preventable cause of link failures.
Disable VPN Before Claiming
If you use a VPN, disable it before tapping any reward links. Re-enable it after the reward is confirmed. This takes seconds and prevents a common failure mode.
