Island King Spin Wheel Guide
Island King is not a slot machine game - your spin wheel delivers five possible outcomes: coins, raid, attack, shield, and cards. Each has a different strategic value depending on where you are in your current kingdom and what your immediate goals are. This guide explains how to prioritise each outcome.
Spin Wheel Outcome Rankings
Coins
Coin spins directly fund building construction and upgrades on your island. The coin value scales with your current kingdom - later kingdoms deliver substantially more coins per coin spin. A coin spin in kingdom 20 is worth many times more than the same spin in kingdom 5, which is one of the strongest arguments for advancing kingdoms as fast as possible.
Raid
A raid outcome lets you dig through another player's island for coins. Raids are one of the best coin income sources in Island King because the payout can significantly exceed what a coin spin would have delivered. Choosing a well-stocked island to raid - one where the player has been building and storing coins - maximises the raid return.
Attack
An attack outcome lets you damage buildings on another player's island. Each successful attack earns you stars that count toward events and milestones. Attacks do not directly earn coins but contribute to the event and challenge objectives that pay out spin and coin bonuses.
Shield
A shield outcome protects your island from attacks for a set time period. Shields are most valuable immediately after you have accumulated a large coin balance from raids or daily links - they prevent opponents from raiding that balance before you spend it on buildings. Outside of those windows, shields have lower strategic value than coin or raid outcomes.
Cards and Chests
Card and chest spin outcomes deliver collectible cards that contribute to card sets. Individual cards feel like low-value outcomes compared to coins or raids, but completing a full card set delivers a reward package that rivals days of standard income. The cards themselves do not feel impactful until they push a set to completion.
Spin Priority Changes by Kingdom Phase
The value of each spin outcome shifts depending on where you are in a kingdom. Early in a kingdom, coin and raid outcomes are most valuable because you need coins to start building. Mid-kingdom, attack outcomes become useful if events reward attack stars. Late in a kingdom, shields become more important because you will be accumulating a large building budget that is worth protecting before you can spend it.
Card outcomes have value throughout all kingdom phases, but their payoff is deferred until set completion. Treat card outcomes as a background objective rather than a primary session goal. The best card strategy is passive - collect what the wheel gives you and trade duplicates consistently rather than spinning with the specific goal of chasing cards.
How Kingdom Number Affects Spin Value
The coin and raid payouts from each spin scale with your kingdom number. A coin spin in kingdom 30 delivers far more coins than the same spin in kingdom 10. This is why advancing kingdoms is the single most valuable long-term action in Island King - it permanently increases the coin value of every future spin you take.
