Pearl's Peril
Pearl's Peril is a free-to-play hidden object adventure game by Wooga. Players follow Pearl Wallace across exotic locations searching for hidden objects to unravel a family mystery. The defining feature is the Chapter Mastery Rating System: replaying completed scenes to improve your rating from Bronze through Silver, Gold, and Diamond unlocks chapter-completion ticket bonuses and exclusive scene variants not available through standard first-time completion. This makes replay progression as meaningful as forward progress through new chapters.
The Chapter Mastery Rating System
Every scene in Pearl's Peril has four mastery tiers: Bronze (first clear), Silver, Gold, and Diamond. Reaching Gold in all scenes within a chapter triggers a chapter mastery completion bonus - a batch of tickets awarded on top of the standard chapter reward. Reaching Diamond across an entire chapter unlocks an exclusive scene variant with unique hidden object configurations not found in the standard version.
The mastery system changes how tickets should be allocated. Players who rush exclusively through new chapters miss the chapter mastery bonuses entirely. Players who replay strategically - targeting Gold across all scenes in a chapter before advancing - collect significantly more total tickets over a playthrough than linear-only players. The ticket investment in replay is partially offset by the mastery bonus, making it more efficient than it initially appears.

How Pearl's Peril Compares
vs. June's Journey
June's Journey is the direct competitor in the hidden object category. Pearl's Peril has a stronger linear narrative and its Chapter Mastery system rewards replay in a more structured way than June's Journey's decoration-focused loop.
vs. Gardenscapes
Gardenscapes blends hidden objects with garden renovation. Pearl's Peril stays closer to traditional hidden object mechanics and leans harder into story depth - Gardenscapes has more social features.
vs. Criminal Case
Criminal Case focuses on detective investigation scenes. Pearl's Peril has a similar exotic-location adventure theme but generates bonus tickets through mastery replay rather than Criminal Case's energy system.
